Peckham’s 22a label brings you a night filled with jazz-tinged, smoky lo-fi house and hip-hop and abstract sounds at east London’s Kamio.
22a is a record label that plays host to arguably the most creatively charged music collective in the capital. Founded by Tenderlonious in 2013, they have since treated listeners to a selection of singles, EPs & albums spanning house, hip-hop, broken beat, rare groove & jazz to name a few. Now into 2017 they have firmly established themselves as one of the leading independent labels in the UK, with a consistent output of quality releases and residencies at The Jazz Cafe and Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM.
Tenderlonious has been at the forefront of new wave of young musicians based in London. His dusty house, jazz, soul flavoured sounds had earned him credits from the likes of Gilles Peterson, Lefto and Osulande.

The South Londoner has created a character as a producer, composer, cook and barber amongst many other things. Caribbean influences seep through beat-maker from a young age and his new Stamp The Wax as ‘Ones To Watch’.
An artist with a strong lean towards the funky, Jean is globally influenced, creating electronic, jazz, reggae, hip-hop fused sounds that come complete with a reassuring thump.
A hotly-tipped jazz-infused BPM-hopping beat aficionado, his current EP “Nobody But U” is doing the rounds and causing a stir in underground circles.
These future stars are sure to set heads nodding and feet moving at the increasingly go-to dance floor institution that is Kamio, make sure you’re in on this before they’re big news
