For one night only…
(Polar Bear / Sons Of Kemet)
Two of UK’s most talented artists blending the boundary between twisted electronic beats and pounding modern jazz.
Soundcrash are extremely happy to announce Ninja Tune’s DJ Food will be bringing a one off performance of a Jazz vinyl set at audiophile hot spot Archspace. Also taking to the decks that night is one of the UK’s most explosively talented Jazz percussionists, Seb Rochford.
With 25 years under his belt, DJ Food’s recently sold out Aphex Twin show is a further confirmation of his talent to rock a crowd. Formerly known as Strictly Kev, DJ Food is well-known for his epic and thoroughly researched mixes such as Raiding the 20th Century. However he’ll be stripping things back for this date and playing an all wax jazz set to suit the occasion.
Drummer for Son’s of Kemet and founder of Polar Bear, one of the UK’s most creative and well respected musicians Seb Rochford is putting a modern spin on Jazz. His unique percussive style saw his band Polar Bear be massively acclaimed and nominated for the Mercury Prize. Expect to see, hear, and feel an eclectic and immersive DJ set from this now legendary figure.
With two dominating figures in electro and jazz, this is a rare experience that you’d want to be part of.
