‘Electronic Music’s true renaissance man’ takes you on a hectic night of slick glitch and bubbling bass sounds in East London’s newest basement venue.
Soundcrash are absolutely fizzing to announce that two of our favourite producers will perform at East London’s Mangle E8, for a 100mph night of bass, beats, glitch and non stop dancing.
Machinedrum has been pushing musical boundaries since he burst onto the scene as a 19 year old with ‘Now You Know’. 16 years, several albums and a few aliases later, Travis Stewart has cemented his reputation as one of electronic music’s favourite sons.
His diverse productions have seen him take inspiration from glitch hop to footwork, juke and drum & bass, each time adding his own talent and technical mastery to create a unique sound. His position as one of electronic music’s best respected producers is seen most clearly through an impressive list of collaborators which includes the likes of DJ Rashad, Jimmy Edgar, Azealia Banks, OM Unit & D-Bridge. 2016 saw two sell out London shows plus the release of his ‘Human Energy’ LP on Ninja Tune.
Iglooghost has been releasing music from a young age. His 2015 EP ‘Chinese Nu Yr’ was released on Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder imprint at the tender age of 18, putting him very firmly in spotlight. His glitchy patchwork of whizzes, synths and vocal cuts are complemented by self-made visuals (he studies design at university) and suggest a creative depth rarely seen in one so young.
