Soundcrash are ecstatic to announce that new UK multi-instrumentalist ensemble feat. Cinematic Orchestra and Matthew Herbert collaborators – Native Dancer, will play a limited capacity show in railway arch venue Echoes.
Born out of late night jam sessions and studio listening parties, Native Dancer is made up of vocalist Frida Touray (Lianne La Havas), keyboardist Sam Crowe (Cinematic Orchestra, Matthew Herbert, Rosie Lowe), bass player Jonathan Harvey (Ethan Johns, Bill Laurence, Cinematic Orchestra), drummer Ulysees, and saxophone player Josh Arcoleo.
Having released last spring’s incredible EP VOL.II on Japanese label Inpartment, the band have amassed loyal fans all over the world, weaving layers of hip-hop, trip-hop, jazz, R & B and electronic pop into sonic landscapes shrouded in elemental mystery that lift and inspire.
As individual artists the band has performed and recorded with an array of UK talent including Lianne La Havas, The Cinematic Orchestra, Squarepusher, Matthew Herbert, Dave Okumu and ESKA, with a wealth of experience gigging on the London jazz scene and with some of the most interesting creative artists the UK has produced.
Having blown audiences away this summer at Love Supreme Festival and Southbank’s Re:Jazz Fest, this unique and intimate setting promises to be a special night indeed. Only VERY limited tickets are up for grabs. DO NOT MISS OUT!
