A rare night with trend-setting, forward thinking label, Tectonic, in east London’s Bloc.
“Tectonic’s heart and soul are just as often found in its deep cuts as in its anthems.”– FACT
Born in Bristol, Tectonic brings it’s own night filled with dubstep, electronic, dance and crowd pleasing music. A leading label that shifted the drum and bass scene in Bristol and brought dub-step mixed with techno, it’s popularly known for being individual. Tectonic’s emphasis on the subtle over the startling, the dark over the blinding, makes for a catalog rich in incredible records. This is set to be a huge night with a heavyweight Tectonic line up.
Pinch B2B Mumdance
What do you get when Tectonic’s label founder teams up with Mumdance? Pinch B2B Mumdance! For all the right reasons, the sound is described as very much of the moment, Both Pinch and Mumdance have kept an already defined sector of UK club music into uncompromising forms.
Both producer and DJ of dubstep, Distance will be live. His dark and distinctive distorted style is why many love to be in attendance of his shows. Having worked with artists such as Benga and Skream, Distance has founded Chestplate record label -which sounds familiarise with all things dub-step related.
Known for Dance and electronica, Ipman has DJ’d for Annie Nightingale on BBC Radio. This has solidified his current listeners and, rightfully so, brought new ones. Tectonic has called him the exciting new face of dance music, and a label which he wears well.
Passionate about music and caring for nothing but the genre of dub-step, Parris has openly said his reason for Dj’ing was for personal fulfillment and exploring new styles. The likes of Younsta, Mumdance, Logos and Dusk have been some of the few names to come out and openly support is work. He describes his work as interesting and evolutionary.
With all this talent under one roof, at a venue like Bloc AND organised by a record label that prides itself on being the trend-setters, this is a night to be part of!
